That way each playthrough you arent just playing the exact same characters. For example strongman could have 2 upgrades for front blow, like a lighting hammer or a spikey hammer with bleed, just as a top of my head example. It would have been cool to have a way to combine skills somehow, or choose some sort of path for each skill. That makes the game super boring after awhile. So the skills you use first fight you will be using for the entire game, at least as far as I've been (district 6). As you level up those skills all that changes is the damage numbers/effect chance. You get all your classes skills right from the start (chosen from a pool, you will get most but not all depending on who you recruit). Unlocking them in the same order every time really hurts replayability. That is so obvious, how did they miss that? Also classes unlocked should be available in a new game. Like I have seen others saying some fixes the dev's should make immediately would be skippable tutorial. Worth getting on a sale in my opinion, if you enjoy games like this. However I feel this game imitates but falls short of what it is trying to imitate. I bought this game because I think the art/theme is super cool, and I love games like this.
